Houston Rockets jersey history No. 6 – Terrence Jones (2012-16, 19)

Houston Rockets players have worn a total of 52 different jersey numbers since the start of the 1967-68 season (including one series of numbers that does not belong to Houston assistant coach and general manager Carroll Dawson), and have been worn by nearly 500 players in Rockets history.

With seven of those jerseys now retired and honoring some of the greatest Rockets ever to wear them, there’s a lot of history to be told.

In today’s article, we will continue to introduce the 11th player among the 15 players to wear the No. 6 jersey, forward Terrence Jones. After finishing his college career at the University of Kentucky, Jones was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

The Portland, Ore., native spent the first four seasons of his career in Houston, with stints with the New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks, as well as in another league, before returning to Houston in 2019 for the final season of his NBA career.

While playing for the Rockets, Jones only wore the No. 6 jersey and averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 blocks per game.
