(WHTM) — The Hershey Co. says it has launched a new type of Twizzlers candy.
The company announced it will launch a new flavor of Twizzlers straws that combines the flavors of vanilla, lime and coconut into an edible straw. Hershey said the new flavors were inspired by the “dirty soda” trend, in which companies mix soda with heavy cream, syrups and purees.
“Dirty seltzer is a non-alcoholic beverage trend that mixes sparkling water with flavored syrups, cream and fruit add-ons and has become a fun, customizable ritual for fans,” said Rachel Starr, manager of confectionery innovation at The Hershey Company.Twister Straws allow people to sip, snack and customize drinks at the same time, making the experience more fun and visible Twister. Whether as part of your daily routine, gatherings or watch parties, these Twister Straws are the perfect addition. “
Hershey’s said the straws will also be available in limited quantities nationwide starting at 12 noon on March 12 at shop.hersheys.com, starting at $4.49, while supplies last.
The candy will also be released as Gopuff candy in select major cities including Boston, New York and Philadelphia on March 12, with a second batch launching on March 22, starting at $4.49, while supplies last.
The candies will be available at Hershey’s World of Chocolate in Times Square over three weekends in March (March 14, March 21 and March 28) and March 31, while supplies last.
