bonnie blueThe trip to Bali went from a social media stunt to a real scandal in record time. Earlier this year, the adult content creator, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was actually detained by police in Indonesia while filming X-rated content with tourists after a fake arrest.
News of her arrest surfaced last week, and initial reports were vague. We now know she was detained on suspicion of “pornographic activity,” and authorities seized a range of items including nine pink necklaces, condoms, flash drives, several cameras, lubricant, two viagra sheets, and of course the infamous Bang Bus and its certificates.
The Padang police chief said: “We have handed them over to the Immigration Bureau for further investigation on suspicion of violating immigration laws. The police investigation is still ongoing. We are jointly investigating with the Immigration Bureau.”
Blue will be deported from Bali and banned from entering Indonesia for 10 years, which is much better than the 15 years in prison and hefty fines she could face.
But it was the search conducted on Blue’s phone that really got people talking. According to Kumparan News, the confiscated devices included not only hers but those of the man arrested with her. Police are looking for evidence of pornographic videos filmed for profit while on tourist visas.
“Bonnie Blue and reportedly JJTW, INL and LJA had KITAS and tourist visas but used them to produce video content for profit,” the police chief said. While they found no pornographic content filmed in Bali, there were personal videos of Bonnie pleasuring herself. She insisted the video was filmed in a Spanish hotel for personal use and not for sharing.
“According to the interpretation of Article 4, Paragraph 1 of Law No. 44 of 2008 regarding pornography, the term ‘produce for oneself’ does not fall within the scope of pornography,” the official added.
However, authorities did find one glaring violation. The video shows a man with the initials LAJ driving a Bang Bus in Bali without an Indonesian driver’s license, with Bonnie and other foreigners on board.
“Neither LAJ nor Bonnie had an Indonesian driver’s license,” officials said. “New crimes were discovered in the video showing LAJ driving a car carrying BB and other foreigners in violation of the criminal act for anyone driving a van to transport people.”
