(WHTM) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert regarding ground beef products due to possible foreign material contamination.
According to FSIS, 16 ounces of vacuum-packed White Oak Pastures “Radical Traditional Agriculture Grass-Fed Ground Beef” product may contain metal, which is the reason for the health alert.

Officials said a recall of the product was not requested because it is no longer sold.
FSIS said the problem was discovered after receiving two consumer complaints. To date, there have been no confirmed reports of harm caused by consuming this product.
The White Oaks Pastures ground beef product included in the health warning has “105761 Sell by 03/19/26” printed on the back and was first produced on February 26, 2026.
The product is shipped to distributors and Mom’s Organic Markets retail stores in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Going forward, the Food Safety and Inspection Service will tell consumers to check their refrigerators for ground beef products and then throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
