New Boston Celtics big man Nikola Vucevic may be the newest addition to his current roster, but he’s already spent a lot of time in the NBA since joining the team in 2011. After his pro day against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week, the Montenegrin big man took some time to praise his fellow rookie forward Hugo Gonzalez.
“I think for a young guy to be able to get it done so quickly and make so few mistakes, that’s very impressive to me,” Vucevic explained. “Especially in this league, it’s very difficult to do that.”

“The tasks they usually give him, he does them 100 percent,” the Celtics center added. “He’s really engaged; he’s playing really hard on both ends of the floor.”

“(He does) a lot of things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet,” Watch said. “But they mean a lot to the team.”
“Obviously he’s rebounding, we all saw that in Milwaukee, but his effort makes a difference and even sometimes when he doesn’t get the ball, he might shoot and someone else might get it. His cutting is tremendous. He’s stuck to his role in his first year and been him Things to do, I think it’s a great way to start your career, as you know, moving forward, I think it’s great that he’s here on a winning team, trying to develop good habits and learn from the great players around him and a really good coaching staff.”
“I think he has a very bright future, and he has the right approach to it,” the Boston big man said.
