Halo Studios will host a panel at the Halo World Championship later this month that will provide a “deep dive” into what’s next for the series. The developer said in June that it would share updates on its in-development Halo game at HaloWC in October. The e-sports event will be held in Seattle, USA from October 24th to 26th.
In the latest update on the Halo Waypoint website, Halo Studios confirmed its plans to hold a panel on the event’s opening day, October 24.
“Back in June, we let the community know that we would be continuing the conversations we had in last year’s HaloWC and New Dawn videos and sharing more about what we’ve been working on,” the studio said. “Just like last year, we’ll be talking about it on the main stage, but this year we’re also planning a ‘Deep Dive’ panel on the community stage that you won’t want to miss.”

Multiple Halo games in development
The developer has been slowly sharing updates about the new Halo game in development over the past year. At the 2024 Halo World Championship, Halo Studios announced a rebranding of its previous name, 343 Industries. The developer also confirmed that multiple Halo games are in development for Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5.
At the time, Halo Studios shared new Halo footage rendered in Unreal Engine 5 as part of the “Foundry” project, which the studio said will serve as the basis for future Halo games. The clip is not from the Halo game the studio is developing.
In June, Halo Studios said it would provide details about its in-development Halo project at HaloWC in October and “continue the conversation” there.
“It’s always fun to speculate, but if you want the official scoop on what Halo Studios has been up to, you won’t want to miss this year’s Halo World Championship,” the developer said in its update.
There are currently no official details about the multiple Halo projects in development. However, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer said at the Xbox Games Showcase in June that 2026, the 25th anniversary of Xbox, will see the “return of classics,” hinting that a remaster or remake of Halo: Combat Evolved is in the works.
“As we think about bringing a new generation of players into these iconic franchises, I’m excited to share that players will celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary with a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War: E-Day, and the return of classics that have been with us since the beginning,” Spencer said on the show.
Gears of War: E-Day has been confirmed, and Microsoft announced 2026’s Forza Horizon 6 at the Tokyo Game Show last week.
