The Cleveland Guardians’ outfield is a wasteland.

Thankfully, the Guardians’ Steven Kwan showed up and made left field his home. Because the other two attractions have been in disarray for a long time.

Cleveland is linked to a variety of outfielders every offseason, and they often land one or two, though never the most expensive.

But whoever the Guardians threw in there seemed to fail.

They have to keep trying, though, and Harrison Bader seems to be one name he’s really willing to help.

Budd is a free agent centerfielder who begins the 2025 season with the Minnesota Twins and ends with the Phillies.

Andrew Simon of MLB.com ranked Bader as the “perfect fit” for the Guardians in an article this week.

“This team has been in need of outfielders and is historically short of right-handed hitters on the 2025 roster,” Simon wrote.

The Guardians find themselves in a constant state of trying to do more with less.

But to have a good midfielder, sometimes you have to go out and find one.

Badr fits this bill. After being traded from the AL Central to the NL East, he performed very well with the Phillies.

Philadelphia likely wants him back, and Bader has other suitors. But the Guardians are a name that doesn’t have much to do with him, and they would certainly be a fascinating landing spot to see if Bader can end Cleveland’s outfield blues.
