Grizzly bear charges past trail camera, revealing massive claws

Yukon wildlife cameras shared video Wednesday of a black bear scratching a tree with its scent, five days after a grizzly bear took over the same tree in the same manner.

This video reveals a behavior designed to leave a scent for other bears or simply to satisfy an itch.

The back scratches are impressive as they reveal the bear’s true size, and the Yukon wildlife camera footage is reminiscent of what may be the most striking scent-marking footage to date, taken in August 2021.

The video shows a giant grizzly bear enjoying being scratched before charging ferociously towards the camera in slow motion, shaking its head and displaying its massive claws.
