Goshen village mayor Molly O’Donnell resigns, retains role in Orange County

Goshen Village Mayor Molly O’Donnell will resign on March 13, according to an announcement posted on the Village’s Facebook page on March 2.

This is O’Donnell’s second term as mayor after being first elected in 2023.

She will move on to another job as Orange County jury commissioner, the post said.

“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in both roles, but I cannot do both at the same time. Serving this community means the world to me, and my commitment to Goshen remains strong. I will see you in the village – and maybe even see you on jury duty!” the statement read.

What to do next?

Vice Mayor Scott Wall is expected to succeed O’Donnell at the last public board meeting on March 9. Wall previously served as mayor of Goshen.

O’Donnell and Wall could not immediately be reached for comment.
