Chris Manhertz remains with Giants.
The 10-year NFL veteran will sign a one-year contract with New York, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
While free agency isn’t open yet, players can re-sign with the team they played for last season, and that’s exactly what Manherz is doing.
Manhertz is a tight end who is one of the glues on the offensive depth chart and his role is to help bring the team together.

The 33-year-old is known for his blocking. He played in all 17 games for the Giants in 2025 and had just one catch for 7 yards. It’s not his role to be the receiver.

He has played 154 games in his NFL career with the Saints, Panthers, Jaguars, Broncos and now the Giants.
During that career, Manherz had 30 catches for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
He had six straight catches for the Jaguars in 2021 and 2022, the best performances of his career.
Manhertz has been a cool story since the beginning of his NFL career. He was a college basketball player at Canisius University, but some thought he would be a great tight end. They are right.
Now, he will appear in an NFL game for the 11th consecutive season and will be returning to the Giants for his third year.
