George Kittle says he “absolutely” expects to play Saturday vs. Seahawks

San Francisco tight end George Kittle said he won’t miss Saturday’s season finale against the Seahawks with the NFC’s top playoff seed at stake.

Asked if he expected to play Saturday, Kittle said: “Absolutely.”

Kittle missed last week’s game with an ankle injury but said he feels “great” this week.

“I was in a really good position to lock up the No. 1 seed on Saturday night. So, I had a great performance,” Kittle said.

The 49ers offense performed very well against the Bears without Kittle, and Kittle said he’s proud to be a part of a team that has had players step up throughout the season while other players have been sidelined with injuries.

“Anytime you can get a No. 1 seed, it means you’re playing at a very high level,” Kittle said. “This team is going to keep moving forward.”

Kittle moves forward, confident he can do what the 49ers have done all season: shake off injuries and move on.
