Vance has been a leading critic of Trump, calling him an “idiot,” warning he could become “America’s Hitler,” and declaring that he is “no Trump guy.”
Newsom noted that Secretary of State Marco Rubio (who called Trump a “con artist” and suggested he had a small penis) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), along with Vance, had been among Trump’s “most effective critics.” Now, they are all part of his inner circle.
