The coach answered the question decisively, clarifying his views on the team’s progress and the use of young players.
“We will compete, we are doing that so far, we will try. Have I played a lot of U23 games? But there is a consensus. One player asked me to talk about the Champions League, another player asked me to talk about the U23s. We are talking about players like Robinho Vaz and Venturino,” the coach said.
“We need to reach a deal otherwise we will never be happy,” Gasperini added.
“Udinese are 11 points behind Roma. Where do they compare? They are a strong team; Serie A is a difficult league. Then, maybe at the end of the year, we won’t be in the Champions League and they will change the coach and that’s it. I’ll do what I’m given.”
