UC Davis scored the final 18 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the University of Hawaii 68-63 tonight in the Big West women’s basketball opener at the UC Davis Credit Union Center.
Nya Epps hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Aggies the lead with 1:16 left, and UC Davis (7-2, 1-0) stunned Hawaii (4-4, 0-1) by hitting its final four shots.
Bailey Flavell scored 12 of her team-high 22 points in the fourth quarter and Saniyah Neverson added 17 points and seven rebounds for Rainbow Washing, but the Rainbow were held scoreless in the final 4 minutes and 41 seconds.
Hawaii turned the ball over 25 times.

Megan Norris played 39 minutes and scored a team-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
UH has lost four straight and will play again Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.
