Fugitive from Bahamas captured in St. Johns after hours long manhunt now in custody in South Florida

An Interpol fugitive from the Bahamas leads the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on a case. Hours-long manhunt was detained in South Florida two weeks ago.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said Monday Tomar Rico Bow He bonded out of the St. Johns County Jail on Dec. 15, “at which time he had an active arrest warrant and ICE detainer out of Broward County.”

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office has filed Bowe for local charges and his case in St. Johns County remains open, SJSO said.

Bow had additional arrest warrants in Broward County for possession of methamphetamine and resisting law enforcement. He also had an active warrant out of the Bahamas for aggravated robbery.

Bowe was scheduled to appear in St. Johns County Court for arraignment on the charges he faces there. Felony absconding, auto theft, resisting without violence, possession of marijuana.
