FSU softball’s game against Texas Tech canceled

The Florida State University Seminoles softball team will not play the Texas Tech Raiders on Wednesday. Due to travel issues with the Red Raiders, the program canceled its Top 5 game and will not reschedule it.

It’s a chance for both programs to get a signature win as they compete for seeding in the NCAA tournament later this season. It’s also FSU’s chance for revenge, as the Red Raiders defeated them 3-2 earlier this season and knocked them out of last season’s NCAA Tournament.

The Seminoles have been on a tear, winning their past 14 games to improve to 25-4 overall and 3-0 in ACC play. Issa Torres was named ACC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, becoming the first Seminole to win the honor since Jesse Warren in 2018.

FSU returns to action on Friday when they host the California Golden Bears in their second ACC series of the season. Friday’s game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the ACC Network. The final two games will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
