After months of waiting, with six days until the new season, the Eagles’ roster is about to undergo major changes. The Jays have 21 players who will test restricted or unrestricted free agency in the 2026 NFL offseason. Several key factors include Jaylen Carter’s pending extension and the contract status of star tight end Dallas Goedert.
Reed Blankenship is one of the biggest names on the roster, and with Nakobe Dean entering the final year of his rookie contract and Jaelan Phillips set to make $20 million outside of the preseason, the team’s defense could look a lot different.

As the offseason officially begins in Philadelphia, we’re looking at four players who could command huge contracts to pry them away from the Eagles.
TE Dallas Goedert- Invalid
Goedert is a warrior, and when healthy, the talented receiver is one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Goedert had one of the healthiest seasons of his career, starting 15 games and catching 60 passes for 591 yards and a career-high and an Eagles-high 11 receiving touchdowns. Goedert appears to be set to earn a lucrative contract for a team looking for an athletic and dynamic matchup nightmare at tight end.
LB Nakobe Dean-UFA
Dean earned 2024 All-Pro votes for his performance in the 2024 Super Bowl season. Dean, who is rehabbing a torn patellar tendon suffered in the NFC Wild Card win over Green Bay, returned in Week 7 last season and had 55 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles in 10 games. As a free agent, Dean will attract suitors (Cowboys) on the open market with his physicality and aggressive play.

OLB Jaylan Phillips: black hair
The Eagles used a 2026 third-round pick to acquire Phillips, who came to Philadelphia in the final year of his contract. The former Dolphins first-round pick had 28 tackles and two sacks in eight games. Phillips didn’t post all-world sacks, but he put pressure on quarterbacks, and his 73 sacks ranked ninth in the NFL, according to PFF.
Phillips plays rusher in 2025 and has a 77.1 pass-rushing grade on 819 snaps, which ranks 20th in the NFL and the Eagles are No. 1, or another team could sign the pass rusher to a three-year, $60 million deal.
DB Reed Blankenship – Invalid
Blankenship, 26, has been a starter the past three seasons, appearing in 50 games and recording nine interceptions. Still, 2025 could be his worst season, but a contending team could look to stabilize its second unit and offer the former undrafted free agent more than $10 million per season.
