How long will the transfer portal be open?

• The transfer portal will only be open for two weeks, from January 2 to January 16, 2026. Exceptions exist for coaching changes (a 15-day window that begins five days after a new coach takes over) and for CFP playoff participants who play on or after Jan. 12 (five days after the last game entered into the portal).

• The spring football transfer window has been cancelled, leaving the football world with just one offseason left for all transfer activity.
