A Florida nurse who says he won’t “administer anesthesia” to “MAGA” patients has given up his license.
“As of today, Eric Martindale is no longer a registered nurse in the state of Florida,” Florida Attorney General James Usmeier wrote in an X post on Thursday.
He added: “Health care does not depend on political beliefs and we have a zero-tolerance approach to partisanship that puts politics ahead of moral obligations to treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

Martindale said in a since-deleted social media post, “I will not administer anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures at MAGA. It is my right, it is my moral oath, I stand behind my education. I own all my businesses and I can say no to anyone!”
Martindale later said his Facebook account had been hacked.

A senior state official familiar with the situation confirmed that Martindale surrendered his license, adding that he violated the covenant agreement by moving from the state to Indiana without notifying the Florida Board of Nursing.

this Portal Information on the Florida Department of Health website showing Martindale’s license number and license verification shows he voluntarily surrendered his license in the “License Status” field. Voluntary waiver “does not constitute discipline,” according to the Florida Department of Health website.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Florida Board of Nursing and attempted to reach Martindale for comment.

Martindale said in a since-deleted social media post, “I will not administer anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures at MAGA. It is my right, it is my moral oath, I stand behind my education. I own all my businesses and I can say no to anyone!”
Meanwhile, another nurse in Florida, Lexie Lawler, a former labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital, was fired last week after posting a video in which she hoped Leavitt would be permanently harmed during delivery.
“As a labor nurse, it’s my great pleasure to wish Caroline Levitt her fourth degree tear,” Lawler said in the video.
