Five arrested over fatal stabbing of boy, 15, after two-week manhunt

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenage boy was stabbed to death in north London.

The Metropolitan Police said police arrested Abdel Dedour on Boxing Day at an address in north-west London following a two-week manhunt and public appeal following the murder of 15-year-old Adam Henry.

Three other men and a woman at the property, aged between 18 and 47, were also detained on charges of assisting an offender.

The 47-year-old woman was further arrested after assaulting a police officer, while one of the three men, 39, was further arrested on domestic violence and driving offences. Detectives said all five people remain in custody.

At around 1pm on Tuesday, December 9, police were called to reports of a stabbing incident in Westbourne Road, Islington.

There, Adam was treated by paramedics for stab wounds before being taken to hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he died in hospital later that afternoon.

In a previous statement, Adam’s family described him as a “loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend” and said they would “never recover from his loss without his presence in our lives.”

“He had many interests and always had a smile and a cheeky sense of humour. He was good-tempered and loyal,” they added.

The Met said Adam’s family were being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Adam’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”

“Senseless violence has no place on our streets – those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice.

“My dedicated team has worked tirelessly over the past few weeks.”

Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Street, Camden, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on December 15 and will stand trial next year.
