Bitcoin in a few weeks With prices largely capped between $85,000 and $95,000, the cryptocurrency market could see a reason to emerge from the downturn on Wednesday when the Federal Open Market Committee sets U.S. interest rates.
May, that is. Won’t. According to CME Group’s Fedwatch tool, more than 97% of people agree that the Fed will keep interest rates steady at 3.50%-3.75%. As always, what is said in the post-decision press conference may have more impact than the decision itself.
The U.S. earnings reporting season is picking up. While no major cryptocurrency companies are scheduled to release reports, investors may be paying attention to electric car maker Tesla (TSLA) and what it has to say about its Bitcoin reserves. According to BitcoinTreasuries.net, the company owns more than 11,500 Bitcoins, ranking it as the 13th largest corporate holder.
Bybit, rated the second largest cryptocurrency exchange by CoinGecko, may also be in the news. CEO Zhou Ben will unveil the company’s 2026 road map on Thursday. About a year ago, Bybit was targeted by North Korean hackers, who stole approximately $1.4 billion worth of ether and stake ether.
