Following Monday night’s win over the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers will return to primetime on Sunday for another primetime game, this time against the Chicago Bears at Levi’s Stadium.
With these two teams still fighting for playoff seeding, this game will be watched by everyone with national broadcasts, but fantasy owners will be just as concerned because it’s the title of most leagues.

Ahead of Sunday night’s showdown, here’s a look at what fantasy owners should do this week with their 49ers teams trying to win a championship:
QB Brock Purdy: Start
Purdy threw for five touchdowns against the Colts and earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. This year, only seven quarterbacks are averaging more points per game than Purdy, and one of them, Patrick Mahomes, will not play in Week 17. Even though he might not have his two best weapons this week, he should start.
RB Christian McCaffrey: Start
Chicago may be in the top 10 against opposing running backs in fantasy football, but McCaffrey is being used far too much to bench him.

WR Jauan Jennings: Start
Jennings has been a WR3 or flex player this year, but he has found the end zone in six of the last seven games and scored twice against the Tennessee Titans in Week 15. As the team’s primary receiver, he probably should start.
TE George Kittle: SIT
Kittle, who was unable to finish last week’s game against the Colts due to an ankle injury, attempted to play. He hasn’t practiced all week, and with the playoffs coming up in a few weeks, they probably won’t try to push that. Even if he’s active, he’s probably more of a decoy.
Day/Hour: Sitting
New Bears head coach and playmaker Ben Johnson could cause a lot of problems for the 49ers defense since they are without two of their best players. It’s hard to have any confidence in this team right now after being carved up by 44-year-old Philip Rivers last week.
