Fantasy Basketball High Score Perfect Lineup for Week 13: Where did all the scoring go???

We are currently in a scoring drought in the NBA and fantasy basketball. It’s now been three weeks in a row that no player has scored over 80 fantasy points in a single game in high-scoring format. Oddly enough, this has to do with an injury to Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic. Yes, it is indeed very interesting.

We put together a somewhat throwback roster in Week 13, with three aging stars making the cut. The only constant is the Lakers’ Luka Doncic, who scored 77 points for the second consecutive week.

More information about top performers

Luka Doncic, guard: After reaching the 77-point mark again, Doncic once again became our constant target. Last week’s performance against the Spurs was more impressive than this week’s performance against the Kings. In the loss to the Kings, Luka made 16 of 25 shots and scored 42 points, plus 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.

The Lakers’ leading scorer is dealing with a groin injury that could affect his performance this week. Los Angeles has three road games this week, including a couple of very tough games against the Nuggets and Clippers.

Jamal Murray, guard: Murray often makes this list in the absence of his running mate Clowney. Murray does a lot of the heavy lifting offensively, scoring more than a third of the Nuggets’ points in their 121-115 victory over the Wizards on Saturday. Murray has also struggled with injuries of late, but has also emerged as one of the top high-scoring assets with his scoring volume and high assist totals.

Scotty Barnes, frontcourt: We haven’t seen Barnes here since late December, when he had a career-high 25 rebounds and 80 fantasy points in a wild win over the Warriors. In a great matchup against the struggling Pacers, Barnes hit 3-pointers in a 26-7-13 record in 38 minutes. Immanuel Quickley played in that game, which allowed Barnes to operate with the ball more.

LeBron James, frontcourt: LeBron joins us for the second straight week after scoring 64 fantasy points last week. The Lake Show scored a whopping 141 points against Atlanta early last week. James and Doncic both scored double-doubles with 10 and 12 assists respectively. LeBron became more aggressive offensively and looked 100% healthy for the first time all season.

Kevin Durant, frontcourt: The Rockets haven’t been great lately, but they’re having a good week, with three wins in four games. In a win over the Timberwolves, Durant hit 11 of 18 shots, 6 three-pointers, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 rebounds, scoring a season-high 39 points.

James Harden, utility model: Harden is the leader of the veteran guard trio in Week 13. The Beard has been excellent for a fantasy head coach this season and is on pace to post his best scoring numbers since leaving Houston in 2020. The Clippers have also been on a roll since late December, winning 12 of their last 14 games. During this period, Harden’s field goal percentage was below 40% and his long-range shooting percentage was below 30%, but his performance was outstanding. Despite his poor shooting numbers, Harden is still getting enough shot volume to sustain these fantasy performances.
