Fantasy Basketball High Score Perfect Lineup for March: Bam’s historic night won’t be forgotten

We’re about to kick off the first-ever Yahoo High-Score Fantasy Basketball season. March brought us the fantasy playoffs and one of the most memorable performances in basketball (and fantasy) history. This week marks the start of your Fantasy Basketball League Championship. Most games will be decided in April. But let’s take a quick look back at March’s top scores.

High scoring perfect lineup for March.

More information about top performers

Luka Doncic, guard: I’ve been writing these stories all season long, and I think I’ve been mentioning the Lakers superstars every time I’ve written them. It’s a shame he’s unlikely to win a real-life MVP this season, but he has every reason to win a fantasy MVP. Unfortunately, that may not include a playoff MVP. With his performance late in the fantasy regular season, Doncic slots into a perfect lineup for March. However, Coach Luka hasn’t been as productive in the fantasy playoffs. Last week, the All-Star scored 67 points, one of his lowest scores all season. Doncic still has plenty of time to bounce back in early April, with games against the Thunder and Mavericks this week.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, guard: Believe it or not, SGA’s assist numbers don’t hit double digits very often. He has only had more than 10 assists in six games all season. A season-high 15 points helped the reigning MVP make the March Perfect Team in a March 9 win over the Nuggets. While Shai is arguably the best scorer in the NBA, his value on the high-scoring charts isn’t high due to his lack of consistent category coverage. March ended with Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 47 points, but his fantasy points were only 64 due to lower rebound, assist and steal totals. Keep this in mind as you head into the high-scoring 2026-27 draft.

Bam Adebayo, frontcourt: Ahhh, yes – “Bam Game”. We will always talk about this show. I said it last month…Adebayo’s 83-point game set a season-high fantasy output of 110 points. As of this writing, the second-highest total belongs to Nikola Jokić, who has 108 fantasy points. There’s still some time left in the fantasy basketball season, and someone can dethrone Bam. Adebayo may never reach that ceiling again, but he’s been pretty consistent during this stretch, posting double-doubles in six of his past seven games heading into April.

Nikola Jokic, frontcourt: The first sentence I wrote above about Luca I can repeat here for Joker. Both players have been outstanding all season and should be drafted in 2026-27 at 1-2. You could probably make a case for another player in this lineup, but we’ll save that argument for another time. Before the Nuggets’ final game in March, Jokic had recorded four consecutive triple-doubles. He only has two games a week to compete for the fantasy championship, but only needs to play one game in the high-scoring game.

Alperen Şengün, frontcourt: For much of this season, we’ve known Sengu as Jokic Lite. While he doesn’t have the same ceiling/floor combo, the Rockets big man looks like a league-winning rookie as the season comes to a close. He scored 78 and 81 points last week and had four games in Week 23 to try to bring a “ship” back to his respective head coach. Sengun will be hard-pressed to get noticed in next season’s draft.

Victor Wembanyama, Utilities: Wimby is another player I mentioned above who was a former No. 2 pick in most fantasy basketball drafts this season. If Wembanyama hadn’t been sidelined by injury and his point totals were more consistent, he would have rewarded his coaches (not that he hasn’t). The Spurs’ big man is peaking at the right time, averaging nearly 70 points per game over the past week and over 60 points per game over the past month.
