Factbox-White House gathers oil majors, traders, drillers on Venezuela

Jan 9 (Reuters) – The White House will hold a meeting with key U.S. leaders on Friday. The administration is considering how to revive crude oil production in the sanctions-hit country and is discussing potential investments in Venezuela’s energy industry with international oil companies, according to White House officials.

These companies include producers, refiners, traders and oilfield services companies with past or potential business dealings with Venezuela. Also in attendance were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, White House officials said.
