Ohio State and North Carolina will put on a sizable peach-and-peach contest on Saturday, which will be the biggest challenge the Buckeyes face in the still-young 2025-26 season.
It’s another game brought to you by the CBS Sports Classic, an annual event that alternates between Ohio State, North Carolina, UCLA and Kentucky, and when the Scarlet and Gray clash with Carolina Blue, it’s just the right time to see two teams with historic school colors facing off against each other. The wise folks in Sin City love the Tar Heels here, but not as much as you might think.

We also wanted to see what ESPN’s game predictor says about some of Ohio State’s basketball games, especially the big ones, and you might be surprised to know that the ESPN machine’s analysis favors the Buckeyes in this neutral-site game at State Farm Stadium in Atlanta. Although the margin is very small, ESPN gives OSU a 52.2% chance of winning, while UNC has a 47.8% chance of winning.
