ESPN lists several top 50 free agents as best fits for Raiders

Don’t look now, but he’ll be a free agent in a few weeks. The Raiders will have the most money invested in it. Nearly $100 million would net them a host of key assets to help them quickly rebuild and usher in the Clint Kubiak era in Las Vegas.

To get everyone spinning, ESPN’s Matt Bowen breaks down the list of the 50 impending free agents around the league and the teams best suited for their services. As you might expect, the Raiders have so many needs and a ton of money that are considered good fits for several players on the roster.

16. CB Jaylen Watson

Watson, who had 64 tackles for the Chiefs in 2025, is versatile and a move that could allow the Raiders to upgrade their defensive coverage by acquiring one of the top cornerbacks in free agency. He has the length to challenge in the press and the route awareness to play top-down in the zone.

My opinion: The Raiders’ first priority should be re-signing linebacker Eric Stokes. But even if they do, adding another guy would be smart because there’s a lot of uncertainty at the Raiders’ position overall. Darian Porter may have a bright future, but they can’t pin their hopes on that. They have to protect their interests and secure the outside cornerback spot.

21. WR Romeo Dubs

The Raiders could add room at wide receiver for new coach Clint Kubiak by signing Dubs. His ability to spot and handle high-traffic areas on the court will come in handy for projected No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza. A reliable pass catcher, Dubs caught 55 passes for 724 yards for the Packers in 2025.

My opinion: Receiver is one of the Raiders’ weakest positions. Last season’s rookie performance was not outstanding, with only Trey Tucker as the starter. If the Raiders have an opportunity to add a receiver like Dubs, they’ll have to explore it. It’s a homecoming of sorts for the Los Angeles native and UNR product.

33. G. Zion Johnson

The Raiders could upgrade their offensive line with Johnson. He plays the left guard position in Clint Kubiak’s system, utilizing his mobility in the zone running game. Plus, Johnson’s youth and durability would be a good fit for Las Vegas’ rebuild. He’s just entering the prime of his career, with a pass-blocking win rate of 90.7 percent during his four-year career with the Chargers.

My opinion: Dylan Parham played left guard for the Raiders last season. He will also become a free agent. He’s been essentially a backup-level guard throughout his career, and former 17th overall pick Zion Johnson appears to be an upgrade. Solid action.

While Bowen believes third-overall free agent center Tyler Lindenbaum is the best fit for the Giants, he mentioned the Raiders as a team worth “keeping and keeping an eye on.”
