On the afternoon of Saturday, February 7, the Cincinnati Fire Department responded to an emergency landing at Lunken Airport.
According to the fire department, firefighters were dispatched to Lunken Airport around 4:34 p.m. on reports of a small plane crash.
Authorities said the plane had a landing gear problem during its final approach, causing only one side of the landing gear to deploy.

The pilot must perform a “belly landing” on the runway, meaning the landing gear is not deployed.
Officials said both passengers were able to safely disembark on their own.
The Cincinnati Fire Department said Runway 3R/21L was closed pending investigation and debris removal.
About 34 firefighters responded to the scene and there were no casualties.
