The fifteenth Sunday of the 2025 NFL regular season is coming!
Let’s run through our root guide to all remaining games in Week 15 focusing on the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFC Oriental Focus
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Philadelphia Eagles: The magic number for the Eagles to win the division is three. By defeating the Raiders, the points dropped to two points. Go bird it.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys: If the Eagles beat the Raiders and the Cowboys lose to the Vikings, the Eagles can lock up the NFC East title in Week 16, either 1) the Eagles beat Washington on Saturday… or… 2) the Cowboys lose to the Chargers on Sunday. Root for the Vikings.
NFC playoff pictures
Here are the current NFC playoff pictures from ESPN:
Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Falcons beat the Buccaneers on Thursday night, which is a good thing for the Eagles because it helps keep Philadelphia from falling into the fourth seed. The Buccaneers lost.
Cleveland Browns vs. Chicago Bears: The Bears face the Eagles in the tiebreaker, so Philadelphia doesn’t want them to slip back into the lead of the NFC North. Additionally, the Browns’ victory gives the Jets a chance to move ahead of Cleveland in the draft order. Cheers for the Browns.
Green Bay Packers vs. Denver Broncos: The Eagles need multiple losses from the Packers to move Philadelphia up to the No. 2 seed. Cheers for the Broncos.
Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams: The Eagles have a slim chance of getting the No. 1 seed at this point (0.1% chance). It’s better to back the Lions to lose and not make the playoffs because there are less threatening teams (like Chicago and San Francisco) that can overtake them. Rooting for the Rams.
Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints: The Panthers lost the game and the Eagles fell short of the fourth seed. The Eagles didn’t want to face the second-place team in the NFC West in the first round. Additionally, the Saints’ victory gives the Jets a chance to move ahead of New Orleans in the draft order. For the saint root.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Seattle Seahawks: The Eagles have a slim chance of getting the No. 1 seed, but they need the Seahawks not to win. Root for the Colts.
Draft considerations
Here are the current 2026 NFL non-playoff team draft orders from Tankathon:
New York Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Thanks to the Haason Redick trade last year, the Eagles own the Jets’ third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The more the Jets lose, the better the Jays’ draft picks become. Root for the Jaguars.
New York Giants Washington Commander: The Giants are currently projected to have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Commanders aren’t far behind at No. 6… but it would be better to not see the Giants get the No. 1 pick and either use it to select the best prospect (in theory) or trade it to a quarterback-needy team for a massive asset. Root for the Giants.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals’ win helped move Cincy below the Jets in the draft. Root for the Bengal tiger.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans: The Eagles hope the Jets stay ahead of the Cardinals in the draft order. Cardinals roots.
Tennessee Titans vs. San Francisco 49ers: The Titans’ victory gives the Jets a chance to move ahead of Tennessee in the draft order. Root for the Titans.
what’s left
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Guessing the tiebreaker doesn’t matter to the Eagles, but if it does come into play…a Chiefs win helps them in that regard. Root for the Chief.
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills: If the Eagles can beat the Bills, Philadelphia will benefit from having Buffalo as deep as possible in the tiebreaker. as the source of the bill.
Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: It doesn’t matter.
