Eagles met with Second-Team All-SEC TE Dae’Quan Wright at NFL Combine

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to do a lot of work on their tight end corps this year. While defensive reinforcements and offensive line depth remain top priorities, general manager Howie Roseman and company are also investing time in evaluating the offensive pieces.

The latest addition? We offer Dae’Quan Wright for your consideration.

The 2025 All-SEC Second Team selection meets with the Eagles during the NFL Combine. This is further evidence that the organization is interested in adding depth and long-term upside to the position.

Wright built his reputation in the always-brutal SEC. He’s shown a combination of size, physicality and red zone reliability at the top level. He’s proven he can play both as a pass catcher and interior blocker, a combination that tends to translate well to the next level. Today, you’d be hard-pressed to find a new tight end who can do both jobs equally adeptly.

Philadelphia’s interest in the tight end isn’t surprising. The top three players on last year’s depth chart were all impending free agents. However, the Eagles said Dallas Goedert is someone they want to keep.

The Eagles have always valued strong depth behind their starters. They have long preferred tight ends who can play multiple roles. Wright will help them do that. Oh, and if you’re interested, the Eagles also met with star tight ends Oscar Delp (Georgia Bulldogs) and Jake Endries (Texas Longhorns).
