Driver traveling 156 mph on I-5 near SeaTac, WA, outruns troopers

seattleThe Washington State Patrol shared video of a car traveling at 156 mph in foggy conditions in the SeaTac area on New Year’s Eve.

According to WSP Trooper Rick Johnson, just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 31, a trooper reported seeing a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 5 at a high rate of speed. Another officer then searched further for the car on the road near South 188th Street.

In the dashcam video shared by WSP on Wednesday, you can see the driver dash past the officer – almost completely invisible before the officer turns on his headlights.

Troopers measured the vehicle’s speed at 156 mph.
