NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Drew Commesso made 37 saves to seal his first NHL shutout and win, Connor Bedard scored the first two goals and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 on Saturday night.
Comesso was called up from Rockford of the American Hockey League on Friday, with Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom both battling illness, and Comesso made his first NHL start of the season in a 5-1 home loss to Washington that night. The 23-year-old former Boston College star bounced back against the Predators, making his fourth career NHL start.

Bedard missed 12 games with a shoulder injury, his second.
Tyler Bertuzzi scored a team-leading 23rd goal and had an assist, and Nick Lardis and Ryan Greene added a goal apiece to help Chicago win for the fourth time in five games and its only road game in eight games.
At 6 minutes and 41 seconds of the second quarter, Bertuzzi launched a strong attack and drove Bedard’s beautiful cross pass into the open right side. Chicago got the man advantage when Roman Josi was called upon to guard Oliver Moore.
With 8:59 left in the third period, Radice received a pass from Bedard in the high post and fired a wrist shot past goalkeeper Juuse Saros for the goal. Bertuzzi then scored on Green’s empty netter.
Saros stopped 18 shots.
