British stone. LOUIS – The Wheelhouse, a popular late-night bar in downtown St. Louis, will officially close its doors after the 2026 New Year’s Eve party.
“Thank you for an unforgettable running experience. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors over the past 11 years and made Wheelhouse what it is,” a statement posted to the Wheelhouse Downtown Facebook page Saturday read.
Cab staff did not reveal any specific reasons for the impending closure in a statement.

Located at 1000 Spruce Street, just blocks from Busch Stadium, Wheelhouse Downtown offers a music-filled nightlife experience with themed party nights that have attracted Cardinals and Blues postgame crowds for years.
“To our STL community, thank you for supporting local businesses and creating a truly unparalleled energy. The friendships and shared moments will always be with us,” Wheelhouse Downtown added in its announcement.
The cab will only be open a limited number of nights over the next few weeks: this Saturday (December 20), next Friday (December 26), next Saturday (December 27) and New Year’s Eve (December 31). Tickets are required for the New Year’s Eve party. For more information, click here.
