The Dodgers’ first game of the spring finally takes place on Saturday afternoon, as they take the bus to Tempe to face the Angels at Diablo Stadium.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto starts for the Cactus League capper (a nod to Bill Plunkett), which will be his only start before heading to Japan next week for the World Baseball Classic. Shohei Ohtani will serve as the designated hitter in his earliest game after joining the Dodgers in the spring.

Jose Soriano will start on the mound for the Angels, and according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register , the Angels “will have nearly the entire projected daily lineup when they face the Dodgers in Saturday’s first Cactus League exhibition game,” although Mike Trout is not expected to start.
