Smash and Ax have face paint – WWE
Next month, Ax and Smash of Demolition will receive their long-awaited induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. The news was recently provided by The Undertaker, and according to the legendary tag team, it comes as a real surprise to them.

In an interview with Bill Apter, Bill “Axe” Eadie and Barry “Smash” Darsow revealed how and when they learned about the upcoming inauguration. “We got the call last weekend,” said Ax, referring to the same weekend as WWE Elimination Chamber. “They were showing us some new merchandise that they were going to be producing. Undertaker jumped on the phone and announced it. It was almost overwhelming because the response from yesterday to today was great because there were a lot of good fans and friends of ours. But it hasn’t stopped since about 9:00 yesterday, which is great.”
Similar to Demolition, The Undertaker also officially announced that former WWE Champion AJ Styles and former WWE executive Stephanie McMahon will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2026. For Smash, this added layer of sweetness comes from the fact that “The Phenom” has been a friend of his and Ax’s for decades.
“The great thing is, when The Undertaker comes on, it’s great that we can be friends. We’ve all known each other for a long time and he just does that. That’s great,” Smarsh said.
Under the WWE banner, Demolition has won the WWE World Tag Team Championship three times. However, it was their first reign that made them go down in history, as it lasted 478 days.
