Now he knows Staub is heading to the SEC.

On3 Sports reported Staub’s commitment to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.

Stabb likely won’t be the starter for the Volunteers, though.

He attempted 99 passes in his three-season college career. He was 53-of-99 for 681 yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 INTs. Stubb also had a college rushing touchdown.

Stubb will get the most playing time in 2025 as Buffalo tries to figure out a replacement for Shaddell Sanders. They also got Keden Salter and Julian Lewis seeing plenty of action as well.

Stubb graduated from Stevenson Ranch High School in California as a three-star recruit. He ranks as the No. 39 quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class.

The Vols are still waiting to see what happens with Joey Aguilar.

The star quarterback originally headed to UCLA from Appalachian State, but then essentially flipped his position to Knoxville when Nico Yamalewa went to the Bruins.

Aguilar is technically no longer eligible, but he is seeking another year in a lawsuit that has yet to reach a final verdict.

But if Aguilar doesn’t come back, Staub will have a better chance of winning a potential starting job.
