Cubs All-Star Takes Shot at Dodger Fans

Chicago Cubs All-Star Pete Crow-Armstrong paid tribute to Los Angeles Dodgers fans in an interview with Chicago Magazine.

Crow-Armstrong, a star for the Cubs in 2025, grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended Harvard-Westlake School. The star praised Chicago fans but chose to take a shot at Dodgers fans in doing so.

“I love Chicago more and more. It’s an incredible city. The people here are great,” he said. “They’re giving… They’re not just baseball fans like Dodgers fans who go to the game to take pictures or whatever. They’re paying attention. They care.”

Although Crowe-Armstrong is from the area, he is not a Dodgers fan. Growing up in Illinois, his father prohibited him from cheering for the Dodgers or St. Louis Cardinals.

“Growing up in Los Angeles, my dad gave me a few rules. 1) I couldn’t cheer for the Dodgers. 2) I couldn’t cheer for the Cardinals,” PCA writes in the book players’ tribune last year.

Although Crowe-Armstrong speculates that Dodgers fans don’t care, they ultimately have the bragging rights of being the current holders of the World Series.

PCA and the Cubs will establish themselves as serious contenders next season, though, and they’ll beat the Dodgers early in the regular season. Los Angeles will host the Cubs on April 24-26, and Doug McCain of LA Sports Report believes the Dodgers will show the All-Stars how much they “care.”
