Courtland Sutton says ‘everyone knows’ Broncos should be in Super Bowl

The Denver Broncos fell out of the NFL playoffs with a 10-7 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game after losing starting quarterback Bo Nix to an ankle injury.

Backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham had two key turnovers that essentially decided the AFC Championship Game, and the Broncos seemed to have a feeling the game would have played out differently had Nix been healthy.

Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton seemed to agree with the idea.

“I’ve gotten over this situation,” Sutton said in an interview with Guerrilla Sports at the Pro Bowl earlier this week. “I told my son, I said, ‘Maybe after the game is over, I’ll get over it.’ Once the Super Bowl is over, I’ll get over it — but good luck to both teams, putting on a show there and doing their thing. You know, everybody knows the Broncos should be there, but that’s okay.”

After defeating the Broncos, the Patriots will now face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl Sunday. With Denver’s 2026 opponent’s schedule including a trip to New England, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this game take center stage in prime time.
