2025 Season Review
Before Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, he was one of the most productive quarterbacks in football, providing the Colts with much-needed positional stability while also providing the ability to run the offense.
Richardson spent most of the season on injured reserve due to an eye injury. Leonard then became the backup quarterback behind Jones and eventually Philip Rivers.
What is the level of demand this offseason?
On paper, this is quite high. However, it’s clear the plan is to re-sign Daniel Jones, who will become a free agent.
Chris Ballard and Sean Steichen have made it clear they want Jones back. Jones also expressed a desire to return to Indianapolis.

However, both sides will have to work together on Jones’ next deal now that he’s coming off a serious injury.
Beyond that, another question is what’s next for Richardson?
There really isn’t a path forward for him with the Colts when it comes to regaining the starting job, and Leonard proved against Houston that he can be a capable backup option. Will the Colts consider trading Richardson this offseason?
