Stubb has played relatively few games in Buffalo over the past three seasons. He initially got some playing time as a freshman in 2023, but failed to complete a pass the following year.

Ryan Staub showed some promise as a freshman in 2023 by completing 23 of 40 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown. Of course, Colorado already has the quarterback position relatively settled Sherdel Sanders An NFL draft pick who took over and eventually became the position.
With Sanders so tied to his work in 2023 and 2024, Stubb threw just four passes as a redshirt freshman in 2024. He didn’t complete any of them and was sacked once.
With Sanders headed to the NFL in 2025, Ryan Staub’s workload will be limited. One of his biggest games came in early September, when he played against delaware And in Houston. In the game against Houston, Staub completed 19 of 35 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown. However, he was picked off twice. He also ran 11 times for 36 yards, showing good mobility.
But Stubb threw just 10 passes the rest of the season. He completed 30 of 55 passes for 427 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions throughout the year. He also ran for one run.

Ryan Staub was rated a three-star recruit before entering Colorado and was the No. 733 prospect in the 2023 class, according to On3 Consensus. He also checked in as the No. 39 quarterback in the class and the No. 63 overall player from West Ranch in Stevenson Ranch (Calif.).
Stubb is expected to generate some interest in the transfer portal. He’s a quarterback who’s seen some action in a major power conference game.
