Bowl games will be suspended on Saturday in favor of postseason play in college football’s four divisions, including a national championship game.

Three College Football Playoff first-round games headline the schedule, with Miami traveling to Texas A&M, followed by Tulane vs. Mississippi State and Oregon State hosting James Madison.

While most eyes are on these games, the lower leagues are further up the pecking order and a trophy will be awarded on Saturday. The Division II final between defending champion Ferris State and 2023 champion Hardin should be an exciting matchup.

Elsewhere, the FCS semifinals will be Montana State’s second matchup of the season, in addition to Villanova’s Cinderella trip against Illinois.

Don’t forget the D3 semifinals, with North Central facing John Carroll and Wisconsin-River Falls facing Johns Hopkins.
