A missing dog found on a cliff has been rescued by the coastguard.

Boscastle Coastguard said they were called at 10:45 GMT on Monday to reports that the dog was trapped in Trebarwith, Cornwall.

The dog, which has been missing since Sunday, was allegedly seen by a member of the public on a narrow cliff ledge in the middle of “approximately 100ft (30.48m) of cliffs”.

It added that a qualified cliff technician had put the dog down and found it uninjured and was “very happy to see Coast Guard”.
