This season has been a breakout season for Oscar Bobb. After a broken leg ruined his 24/25 campaign, it was hoped he could make up for lost time this season. Unfortunately, aside from showing his quality, Oscar Bobb hasn’t made the impression he would have liked for Manchester City this season. Bobb has been on the fringes of City’s first-team squad of late, with Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Tijani Reynders and Phil Foden having emerged as Guardiola’s first-choice creative players. A new report suggests Bobb could leave Manchester City next month. Maybe this is the best move for Bobb so he can compete regularly.
Oscar Bobb could seek a move in January if Manchester City sign Antoine Semenho.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City next month. Additionally, Romano reports that Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenio Bobb will seriously consider leaving Manchester City to pursue more opportunities elsewhere if they sign him. Finally, Romano reports that a number of clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, have made contact with Oscar Bobb in recent weeks.
Oscar Bobb may need to move to become a player.
Whether or not Manchester City sign Antoine Semenho, it may be in Oscar Bobb’s best interest to see him as a player away from the Etihad. Bobb has made 15 appearances for Manchester City this season, but has failed to make a big impact. Bob has shown flashes of excellence, but at 22 years old, he needs to do more. Bobb was plagued by injuries last season, and he also suffered a hamstring strain in Manchester City’s 2-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final against Brentford. But when Bob came on, he didn’t make the impact he wanted.

Unfortunately for Bobb, there was no chance of him getting back into contention with Manchester City. With Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and even Tijjani Reijnders all ahead of him in the pecking order, Bobb was unable to get a chance to play regularly. A January move, either on loan or permanent, could give him the chance to feature regularly and flourish as a player. Perhaps this is the best move for Bobb, especially if Antoine Semenho does sign for Manchester City.
Oscar Bobb’s future is now a story to watch during next month’s transfer window. The young winger could be leaving Manchester City, perhaps as a move as he needs to play regularly and develop further as a player. Bobu’s talent and potential are undoubted, but the environment at Manchester City seems to be unfavorable to him.
