The race for an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament has been determined.
The Mountain West has long been a premier league in women’s basketball. The last time the league sent two teams to the big dance was in the 2010 NCAA Tournament.

That means the four days of the Mountain West Championship in Las Vegas are crucial for the MW team. Currently, the 2026 participating teams have been determined, with a total of 12 teams participating, including the Grand Canyon team.
The winner of this tournament will represent the Mountain West in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Here are the brackets for the tournament. All games are played at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
