We have a better idea of what to expect when Major League Soccer brings the All-Star Game to Charlotte.
This week, the league announced the lineup for the All-Star Game. The league’s All-Star team will face Liga MX from Mexico on July 29 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The All-Star Game is only 10 days away from the World Cup finals. On Tuesday, MLS lead analyst Taylor Twellman explained why Charlotte’s timing as host is important.

“The energy from the World Cup is going to transfer to some degree to the MLS All-Star Game. It’s not a month from now. It’s 10 days from the World Cup final in New York,” Twellman said. “Multiple countries remain interested in understanding what’s going on in the United States, and Charlotte will be in the national spotlight.
This week will also see the Skills Challenge on July 28, as well as a series of community events leading up to the competition.
