Stoke City have released a video showing Chamadou Jr returning to individual training. While awaiting a full return to group training, the 22-year-old defender is undergoing individual training under the supervision of the Championship club’s fitness coach.

The picture of him leaving the pitch in tears during the Indomitable Lions’ quarter-final loss to the Atlas Lions at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium on January 9, 2026 left a mark.

He has eight caps (scoring one goal) for his country and featured in the last African Cup of Nations against Gabon and Ivory Coast before missing the third group game against Mozambique due to suspension. He then played a key role in the Lions’ 2-1 win over South Africa in the last 16 and scored a goal against Morocco (0-2 loss) before being forced off after 24 minutes.

At club level, the London-born player has made 20 appearances in the English Championship this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
