Jaylen Brown has received a lot of criticism during his NBA career, and he has been booed since the Boston Celtics selected him with the third overall pick on draft night in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Despite Brown’s personal and team success over the past decade, including championships and NBA Finals MVP awards, he still faces doubters and doubters. Many question whether he deserves a huge contract extension or if he can lead the Celtics without Jayson Tatum.

Brown has silenced his critics so far this season. He played some of the best basketball of his career, performing at an MVP level while leading a short-handed Boston team to third in the Eastern Conference.
On Monday, after helping the Celtics erase a 20-point deficit against the Indiana Pacers, Brown took to Twitch to share a strongly worded message to his haters.
“I’ve been embracing a villain this season,” Brown said. “There are a lot of people waiting for me to fall this season… They’ve loaded up their tweets and are ready for me to fail and (they’re) still waiting. I’m just going to tell them, keep waiting.”

Now in his 10th NBA season, the 29-year-old star shows no signs of slowing down. He has scored at least 30 points in seven consecutive games and has scored more than 30 points in 11 of the past 12 games, proving that he is fully capable of leading the team and becoming the best option on the offensive end.
After a few days of rest, Brown looks to continue his stellar season in Friday’s rematch against the Pacers.
