The Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors 120-99 on Wednesday to improve to 46-23 on the season, including 8-0 against the four NBA teams from California. This is the first time in the history of the Celtics that they have swept the NBA’s California teams.

Boston has won all four series against the Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings, beating all four teams at home and on the road. Most of these games were one-sided, with the Celtics winning seven of them by double digits.

That won’t be easy for the East Coast team, especially with Jayson Tatum missing for the first seven wins. However, it helps that the Lakers are the only team over .500 entering Wednesday’s game.

On November 16, Boston narrowly defeated the Clippers 121-118 at home to kick off the new season. The Celtics defeated a depleted Lakers team at home on Dec. 5, winning by 21 points without both Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Boston ends 2025 with a five-game Western Conference road trip that ended with a 14-point win over the Kings and a 31-point win over the Clippers in the first two games of 2026.

The Celtics defeated the Kings again in their final game in January, winning by 19 points at TD Garden. After the All-Star break, they kicked off the second half with a four-game road trip, defeating the Lakers and Warriors by double digits in the first two rounds.

Boston completed the sweep with an easy home win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, extending its winning streak to three games. The rising Celtics will look to keep their momentum going when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on the road on Friday.
