Sky Sports analyst and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher once again singled out Egypt international Mohamed Salah after he made heated remarks after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United in the 15th round of the Premier League.

Salah has broken his silence with harsh criticism of his coach Dutchman Arne Slott, claiming their relationship has broken down and expressing deep disappointment in his current role in the team.

The striker explained he felt betrayed after being left out of the starting 11 for the past three games and only coming on as a substitute in a total of just 45 minutes.

The Egypt captain also said he had been at the club for many years and knew its ins and outs, adding that Carragher would no doubt criticize him again the next day – a stance he said he accepted without question.

Carragher slams Salah and orders him to apologize

“Listen, you’re the King of Egypt, the greatest winger in Premier League history, and I know you feel aggrieved. But the fact is you’ve been terrible and now you only throw the ball when it involves yourself?”

He continued: “Legends like Kenny, Rush and some of the others would never behave like this and his behavior is childish in my eyes.”

Carragher reiterated his criticism: “Why are you saying that now? Now he should hang his head in shame and apologize to Arne for his actions.”
