The Belgian tactician recalled Yves Bissouma, who returns from a long absence despite being embroiled in controversy over his use of nitrous oxide in England.

However, other players are yet to make the trip:

Moussa Sirah

The Schalke 04 forward participated in training camps in September and October but did not participate in the November international break. Therefore, he was not called up for CAN 2025.

He has made six appearances for the team so far. His statistics in the second tier of the Bundesliga are not bad (4 goals and 2 assists in 14 games).

The left-back has fallen out of San Fet’s plans. He is not a regular at Brest (playing only 9 games) and has not been called up since last June. He made five appearances for the Malian Eagles.

Forward Levski Sofia is the most notable absence from the squad. He has nine goals and four assists in 23 games and his absence has sparked debate as many wonder why Mali’s top scorer in all European leagues this season has been left out.
